St Anthony’s School was opened in 1923. The Sisters of Mercy were invited to take charge of the school. The first teachers were Sister Euphrasia, Sister Stephanie, Sister Agnes and Sister Eulalie. Mercy Sisters taught at St Anthony’s School until 1977.
