St Peter’s College was opened in 1969. It was opened as a boy’s high school, but girls were soon able to attend too.
For a number of years, the teachers at St Peter’s were Rosminian brothers and priests and Sisters of Mercy.
A boarding hostel was opened so students who lived in the country could attend St Peter’s College.
